Connected Learning Baseline Module Exemplar

THIS IS AN EXEMPLAR, NOT A LIVE COURSE The module focuses on questions of pedagogy and education for supporting learners outside of classroom settings. This would include, for example, online education, mobile learning used as part of a formal curriculum, learning with technology in the workplace, the use of virtual worlds in education and the use of the internet to support homework. These areas are considered in relation to: Learning in different contexts  Using technology across different contexts  Teaching across different contexts  Assessing across different contexts  Designing programmes of study Evaluation and quality  The module is taught primarily using a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), including webcasts, wikis and blogs, as well as limited optional use of external tools such as virtual worlds. The module will be assessed by structured portfolio. This module is fully online, which means there is no face to face element to it and so can be taken from a distance in the UK or outside of the UK. ----------------------------------------- Students from outside of the MA Education and Technology, if you are interested in taking this module you must show how you meet the following criteria and send your request to join to ioe.ma.edtech@ucl.ac.uk Criteria - Professional experience in teaching, education and/or a technology related field. Alternatively a statement outlining how previous studies/experiences have formed an understanding of education/technology practices.
