MPHY0019: MRI and Biomedical Optics

This module provides an introduction to the physics behind Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Biomedical Optics. It is usually taken by third year and fourth year undergraduate (BSc and MSci) students, as well as intercalating (iBSc) medical students. The course is also intended for postgraduate (MSc) students as well as some PhD students who are focusing on MRI or Biomedical Optics as part of their research. All students attend the same lectures and take the same exam paper. All students will also need to complete an MRI coursework assignment, and the level 7 undergraduate (4th year MSci, MEng) and post-graduate students (MSc) must also complete a Biomedical Optics coursework assignment.
