MPHY0019: MRI and Biomedical Optics
This module provides an introduction to the physics behind Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Biomedical Optics. It is usually taken by third
year and fourth year undergraduate (BSc and MSci) students, as well as
intercalating (iBSc) medical students. The course is also intended for
postgraduate (MSc) students as well as some PhD students who are focusing
on MRI or Biomedical Optics as part of their research. All students attend
the same lectures and take the same exam paper. All students will also need
to complete an MRI coursework assignment, and the level 7 undergraduate
(4th year MSci, MEng) and post-graduate students (MSc) must also complete a
Biomedical Optics coursework assignment.
